Sights in and around Radebeul
Schloss Wackerbarth in Radebeul, state-owned show winery

Terraced vineyards and wineries dot the Lößnitz conservation area and are an integral part of regional identity. Schloss Wackerbarth, a baroque structure erected most probably by Johann Christoph Knöffel, is a vineyard prizing its Müller-Thorgau, Traminer and Pinot Blanc grapes. Schloss Wackerbarth offers guided tours and wine tastings guaranteed to titillate all your senses.

The regional museum, Haus Hoflößnitz, named for the palatial villa it is housed in, acquaints its visitors with the history of wine production in the Elbe River Valley.
The renaissance villa was erected as a country residence and pleasure palace for the Prince Elect Johann Georg I (1649/1650). The wall and ceiling paintings as well as the Meißen oven deserve special attention.

Located on Karl-May-Straße 5, the historical residence of Karl May and his last residence is home to the Native American Museum sponsored by the Karl-May-Foundation.
